Hanqing Bilingual Pathway
The Hanqing Bilingual Pathway (HQP) supports the development of native or near-native level Chinese and international standard English.
Centring around a schedule within which approximately 50% of instruction is provided in Chinese, to include Mathematics, and 50% of instruction is provided in English, learning within the HQP is supported by a team of bilingual teachers. Specialist lessons in Aquatics, Physical Education and Music supplement the contextualisation of English language skills.
Transfer between learning pathways is considered at the end of each Key Stage only upon receipt of a written expression of interest prior to the conclusion of the second term of the prior academic year.
